Elsie Ziepolt Longstanding Contributions to the Community

Elsie Ziepolt has been with New Horizons since 1980 in our Supported Employment program and this year, celebrated over 30 years of service with the Bowie Senior Center.

Now, as a senior herself, Elsie still prepares and delivers daily meals and, more importantly, friendship for the seniors. She often carries trays of food and drinks to seniors, who due to their disabilities cannot carry their own trays. In addition, she provides food service for the Meals on Wheels program.

In April 2016, Elsie received an Outstanding Service Award from both Prince George’s County and the Bowie Senior Center for her 30 years of extraordinary and dedicated service.
